Responsible authorities for applications made under the Licensing Act 2003

Responsible authorities include the police, planning and fire authorities, health and safety and child protection. You may have to send a copy of your licence application to some or all of them.

Depending on the type of licence application you're making, you may have to send a copy of your application to some or all of the responsible authorities on this list. 

New applications for a premises licence or club premises certificate
Send your application to all responsible authorities

Application for a provisional statement to be granted
Send your application to all responsible authorities

Application for a full variation of a premises licence or club certificate
Send your application to all responsible authorities

Application to vary the designated premises supervisor 
Send your application to the police and Home Office only 

Temporary Event Notice (TENS)
Send your application to the police and the noise and nuisance team

If you wish to submit an application electronically to the responsible authorities you must obtain prior consent from each authority, otherwise you will need to submit a hard copy by hand or post.
