These ceremonies are for couples who have been married or are in a civil partnership and are often associated with a special anniversary. They are also popular with couples who married or formed a civil partnership overseas and who have now returned to this country and want to celebrate their commitment with family and friends who were not at their legal ceremony.
To arrange a ceremony you must be legally married or in a civil partnership and you must show us your certificate when you book.
A renewal of vows ceremony has no legal status. A commemorative certificate will be presented to the couple at the ceremony, but this may not be used for any legal or statutory purposes.
Fees
Certificates cost £11 in addition to the ceremony fee.
