H&F register office update

In response to the coronavirus outbreak and acting on advice from government, the register office is open for pre-booked death appointments only.

Ceremonies and notices - we are unable to conduct any ceremonies at our Clockwork building or approved venues until at least June 2020. And we can no longer take notice appointments or ceremony bookings as we work to accommodate those couples who will sadly need to reschedule.

Certificates - we won't be able to produce any duplicate certificates until at least June 2020. You can still order online through the General Register Office for England and Wales (GRO).

Please do not visit the Register Office if you have coronavirus symptoms, have been in contact with someone who has symptoms, are currently self-isolating or if you have recently travelled to an area deemed ‘high risk’ by the Foreign Office. Instead you should stay at home and follow self-isolation guidelines.

      Opening hours

      • our phone line is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 4.30pm
      • on the last Thursday of each month the phonlines will open at 11am because of staff training
      • our out-of-hours emergencies number is 020 8748 8588 (open weekends, 9am to 12 noon).
