Telephone opening hours
- Our 020 8753 2140 phone line is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 4.30pm
- On the last Thursday of each month the phonelines will open at 11am because of staff training
- Births, deaths and marriages emergency number is 020 8748 8588 (open weekends, 9am to 12 noon)
Out of hours emergency service
The out of hours emergency service is for the issue of greens to allow a funeral to go ahead for religious reasons. The service can be contacted between 9am and 12 noon on 020 8748 8588. This service is only available to facilitate urgent burials.
To use this service we will need the doctor who attended the body to email the Medical Certificate of Cause of Death directly to us at dsbreg@lbhf.gov.uk
You will not be able to use this service if the death has been reported to the coroner or if you intend to take the deceased out of the country. This service will be over the telephone with the electronic transfer of documents via secure email to the funeral director. Please do not attend the register office.

Parking
Please note there is no parking available at the register office. There is limited on-street parking but fees apply, please allow extra time for parking.
