You could learn illustration and block printing from Trisha Krauss this term. She illustrated the Right at Home column in the NY Times for five years, and she’s also worked with other commercial clients – including Penguin, The New Yorker and Nordstrom.

A native New Englander, Trisha made the move across the pond nearly 20 years ago to bring her expertise to Hammersmith. Watch Trisha explain her creative journey on Instagram. Sign up for her illustration or block printing class now.

Or if you’re feeling peckish, join our cooking tutor Desiree Jordan in our state-of-the-art kitchen at the Macbeth Centre in Hammersmith.

"I love helping my students reach their full potential. I don’t feel like I ‘teach’ – I allow learners to evolve and grow in my classroom," Desiree said. She teaches a FREE cooking on a budget course, which starts on Tuesday 19 September.

Meanwhile our resident gearhead, Nick McKenzie, is the star of Yesterday Channel’s Classic Car Garage programme. And he’s teaching a FREE course about budget-friendly ways to maintain your car.

“I’ve been teaching car maintenance, welding and metalwork since 2000. These courses enable learners to become more confident and self-reliant, which is empowering for them,” Nick explained.

His car care on a budget course runs Monday evenings, starting from Monday 9 October. Or check out his other car classes, including hybrid vehicles maintenance.

You could also try a jewellery course with Wendy De Reus. She’s a qualified goldsmith and jewellery designer with a Post Graduate degree in Art and Design Education.

“Since 2002, I’ve enjoyed helping others explore their creativity in a relaxed environment,” she said. And Wendy has a few classes coming up this term, including a beaded jewellery-making course which starts on Wednesday 20 September.
