The historic house and botanical garden will be transformed on Saturday and Sunday (3-4 December) from 10am to 4pm into a festive family wonderland. The fair hosts carol singers, sweet treats, a tombola, seasonal gifts and craftmaking sessions.

The event in Bishop’s Avenue, Fulham, will also feature a market with more than 65 stalls packed with produce from mulled wine and mince pies to handmade wreaths and garlands, as well as jewellery, clothes and home decorations.

Children can enjoy free activities including storytelling and crafts, while the fair will also host face painting, swing boats, traditional fairground games and a miniature Ferris wheel.

Visitors can join in the merriment by singing along to classic Christmas carols performed by local choirs in the Palace’s historic Tudor courtyard.

Meanwhile, Bishop Sherlock’s room will feature more intimate performances from instrumentalists and musicians.

Fulham Palace’s garden stall will be selling handcrafted Christmas wreaths made by the venue’s gardeners and volunteers, while the museum shop will also stock festive decorations and gifts.

Tickets for the Christmas Fair (£5 adults/ £3 children/£14 family) can be pre-booked online at the Fulham Palace website.
