More than 30 stalls will be packed with gift ideas from local businesses, alongside school-run stalls selling homemade cakes, vintage clothing, plants, gifts and Christmas puddings.

Open to all, the annual fair is aiming to top the £14,000 it raised last year in a bid to inject some cash into its Centenary Garden Fund, which has created a new green space for the school’s 742 pupils – aged 11 to 18.

Half of the money raised from the Christmas Fair will be allocated towards the garden’s £180,000 cost.

Headteacher Elisabeth Stevenson said: “We look forward to welcoming the local community to our Christmas Fair at Lady Margaret.

“Our Christmas fair is always a very special event, and a wonderful opportunity not only to do some Christmas shopping but to meet lots of people from our school community.

“If you’re considering the school for your daughter it’s a good opportunity to see it in action. I look forward to seeing you there!”

You can try your luck on the popular bottle tombola or make a bid on the silent auction, where past lots have included vouchers to use at local restaurants, tickets to TV studio recordings, a guided rowed tour of the annual Boat Race, luxury goods and signed merchandise.

Meanwhile, keep children busy with stalls and activities to spend their pocket money on, including children’s tombolas, crafts, and face-painting.

The cafe will be open, with festive treats including turkey rolls and mulled wine on offer.

Admission to the Fair is £1 (concesssions 50p) and will be running from 11am to 3pm at the school in Parsons Green.
