Netball is one of the activities on offer this summer

Free and low cost events are continuing across H&F and west London as part of our Summer in the City holiday fun. If you haven’t already taken part, then don’t miss out!

With more than 1,000 events for children, young people and families, there’s so much to try in our Summer in the City programme.

There are events every day for young people aged up to 19, plus disabled people aged up to 25.

“With just a few clicks you can have a look through our interactive diary to see what’s happening near you every day,” said Cllr Larry Culhane, H&F Cabinet Member for Children and Education.

Some summer highlights

  • Switch sports run free community sessions in Shepherds Bush and White City throughout the summer and beyond.
  • Eleven to 18-year-olds can get active and test their body to the limits with some intensive crossfit training on Saturday 18 August. Motus Strength will be running the free two-hour session from 2pm at 19A Michael Road, Fulham.  
  • John Parnham is back with his funfair in Ravenscourt Park on Friday 17, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 August. Entry is free but tokens to ride must be paid for. He will be in the park from 12pm to 7pm.
  • Under-fives will be captivated with catchy rhymes at Shepherds Bush Library. The next free Rhyme Time session will be held on Monday 20 August with other events in the coming weeks. It runs from 11am to 11.30am on the day.
  • The Little Foxes summer holiday club is running throughout the summer for children aged 18 months to 11 years old. Sessions cost £10 each and run from 9am to 3pm each day. Activities include tennis, football, dodgeball and athletics and it’s all based in Ravenscourt Park, Hammersmith.
