Proposals for new electoral boundaries in England have been published and residents are being invited to give their views.

This week, The Boundary Commission for England published proposals for changes to constituency boundaries and has begun an eight-week public consultation.

Hammersmith & Fulham currently covers two constituencies: Hammersmith and Chelsea & Fulham.

Under the new proposals, 12 wards in the south of the borough would become one new constituency, called Hammersmith & Fulham, while the north of the borough would be joined to a seat in Brent, to create the Willesden and Shepherds Bush constituency.

This is a change from the commission’s original proposals where the north was split across two seats in Brent and Ealing.

The proposals, including maps, can be viewed on the commission’s website, where you can also leave your comments. The consultation is open until 11 December.

This consultation will be residents’ last chance to give the commission their views on the proposals ahead of its recommendations to Parliament, in September next year.
