You are invited to celebrate International Women’s Day on 8 March with a free event in Shepherds Bush.
Hammersmith United Charities has organised a fun day of workshops and activities for all local women under its #BeBoldForChange theme at Askew Road Methodist Church.
Activities will include workshops on confidence building, running a social enterprise, storytelling and poetry.
There is even an opportunity to lace up the gloves and have a punching time trying a spot of boxing at the Bassein Park Road church.
Hammersmith United Charities has been serving the community since 1618 providing sheltered housing for older people and a programme of grants to local community groups such as HF Mencap – a H&F charity supporting children and adults with learning disabilities and their families.
There will also be children’s activities and a café at the event that will give local women the chance to meet new people, challenge themselves and discover new talents.
International Women's Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The event runs from 2-6pm.
