More than 2,800 people have voted for their favourite business in Hammersmith & Fulham.

Customers put forward the businesses they love in three separate public votes for traders in Hammersmith, Fulham and Shepherd’s Bush. The most popular in each area will be revealed at the Brilliant Business Awards glittering awards night on Thursday 17 November.

The second part of the competition is the judges’ prize, where many more of Hammersmith & Fulham’s most loved traders are in the running to win a coveted Brilliant Business Award.

These businesses were selected after nominating themselves by filling out an application form for one of 13 different categories in the judges’ prize.

“We are recognising our wonderful local traders as part of our effort to make H&F the best place to do business in Europe,” said Cllr Andrew Jones, H&F Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration.

“The praise from the public for the businesses they voted for is incredible, their comments showing just how valued our traders are.

“The judges have had a really tough job trying to narrow down the businesses who have nominated themselves for the prize.”

More than 2,800 people took part in the public vote. Their comments included praise for Detour Cafe in Shepherds Bush for its ‘friendly staff, delicious menu and amazing atmosphere’ as well as Lumi Power Yoga in Hammersmith who customers felt really care about them and their wellbeing.

Businesses across H&F nominated themselves to be considered by the judges.

The Crepe Factory in North End Road, Fulham, which opened in July, was among those making the judges’ shortlist.

“I’m delighted,” said manager Decio Barroso. “We’ve only been in business here for such a short time.”

“We’re different, I don’t think there’s a business like us. There are thousands of creperies but we like to diversify so much. There are hundreds and hundreds of crepes on our menu, many suggested by customers who love to see us cook them in front of them.”

The shortlisted businesses will be invited to the awards ceremony at Hammersmith Town Hall on Thursday 17 November where the winners of each category and the public votes will be revealed.
