Abandoned vehicles take up precious parking spaces and can sometimes be dangerous. It's our duty to deal with them. The more information given about the location, registration, make, colour, the better.

Vehicles which are showing a current tax disc and/or Hammersmith & Fulham parking permit can't be classed as abandoned. However, they can still be investigated if they are in a very poor or dangerous condition. For example, if there is serious accident damage, or the vehicle is burnt out or badly vandalised.

Please check online to find out what information the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) holds about a vehicle to see if it is taxed and has an MOT.

Once we receive a report, our officers visit the site and assess the vehicle.

If we consider the vehicle to be abandoned, we fix a 24 hour notice to it which gives the owner time to claim it. If the vehicle is not claimed during that period it will be removed and destroyed.

In some cases, depending on the condition of the vehicle, a seven day notice may be sent to the owner requiring them to remove it or contact us.

Remove your unwanted car

If you have a vehicle you no longer require and would like it to be disposed of, we offer a free removal and disposal service.
