Get set to celebrate the start of autumn at Fulham Palace as the popular Apple Day returns next month.

Live music, crafts, a tombola and seasonal produce will add a sprinkle of fun to the free family event on Sunday 1 October. From chicken-keeping sessions to tours of the historic orchard and walled garden, the centuries-old former home of the Bishops of London will be transformed for the harvest-style festival.

Running from 11am to 4pm, the buzzing Apple Day celebration will host a crafts and food market throughout the garden, with around 50 stalls featuring local and small businesses showcasing their wares.

Now in its 11th year, the event includes activities for adults and children throughout Fulham Palace’s 13 acres in Bishop’s Avenue.

Folk duo Corwin & Grace will perform a mix of traditional and pop tracks featuring piano and fiddle. While children can enjoy face painting, music-making, group craft sessions, storytelling and harvest games including archery and giant inflatable ball contests, as well as a mini obstacle course.

Baking fans can share their delicious creations in an apple cake baking competition, with categories for adults and juniors aged 14 and under.
