World Autism Awareness Week starts on Monday and organisers need your help to help make it a success in Hammersmith & Fulham.

The aim is to help people understand the condition and the impact it has on people’s lives while raising money for the National Autistic Society. The charity provides information, support and services, and campaigns for a better world for autistic people.

“Without understanding, autistic people are at risk of being isolated and misunderstood,” said Cllr Vivienne Lukey, H&F Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Care.

“We can all help raise awareness to combat discrimination and enable autistic people get the support they need to lead the lives they choose.”
