Residents asked to help shape health and wellbeing priorities in H&F

Hammersmith & Fulham Health and Wellbeing Board is asking what should be the health priorities for the next five years.

Residents are being asked for their views on how to improve health and wellbeing in Hammersmith & Fulham.

The Hammersmith & Fulham Health and Wellbeing Board is responsible for improving the health of borough residents and produces a plan, known as the Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy (JSNA) detailing how it will do this.

The JSNA sets out what should be prioritised in order to make the biggest impact on people’s lives and so residents are being asked to take part in a consultation to give their views.

“We are determined to do our utmost to improve the general health and wellbeing of borough residents,” said Cllr Vivienne Lukey, H&F Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Social Care.

“The results of this consultation will help shape which health and social care services will be commissioned in future to have the most benefit for residents’ wellbeing so please take part and let us know your views.”

The local Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) provides an evidence base from which four priority areas have been identified for the next five years. Residents will be asked whether or not they agree with these priorities.

The priorities are:

  • Supporting good mental health for all
  • Supporting children, young people and families to have the best possible start
  • Addressing the rising tide of long-term conditions
  • Building a sustainable health and social care system that is fit for the future

These four priorities indicate where the H&F Health and Wellbeing Board intends focus its attention over the next five years. Anyone who lives or works in the borough is invited to take part in the consultation and have their say on whether or not they agree with them.

The consultation closes on 18 October 2016.
