Homes for Ukraine

The Homes for Ukraine scheme allows individuals to offer their homes up to Ukrainian refugees.

The UK's 'Homes for Ukraine' is a scheme that allows individuals to offer their homes up to Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war.

Residents and organisations can record their interest in becoming or sign up to become a 'sponsor' for an incoming Ukrainian family through the government's website.

Homes for Ukraine in H&F

Since the launch of the Homes for Ukraine scheme, more than 570 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in H&F through 304 sponsorships. Currently, 89 evacuees are being hosted by 49 sponsors across the borough.

H&F continues to host monthly welcome sessions at the Hammersmith Quaker Meeting House for Ukrainian guests and their sponsors. These sessions are designed to provide essential information and support for those settling into life in the borough. Attendees receive guidance on:

  • Financial support for eligible sponsorships
  • Schooling and education
  • Adult social care and benefits
  • English (ESOL) classes with childcare provision
  • Qualification conversion
  • Employability training and job opportunities

These sessions are a vital part of our commitment to helping new arrivals feel informed, supported, and connected.

H&F Giving Appeal

If you'd like to help incoming Ukrainian refugees but don't have rooms to offer, why not donate to our H&F Ukraine Appeal instead?

We've worked with H&F Giving and West London Welcome to create this appeal. Money raised will supply support, advice and items to refugees who have fled the conflict and local residents affected by the crisis.

British Red Cross

The British Red Cross has resources in English, Ukrainian and Russian, to help Ukrainian refugees learn about services and support that might be available to them.
