H&F Mencap is funded by H&F Council to deliver My Life Out and About, supporting users with learning difficulties, autism or complex needs to access mainstream community facilities.

In the past year...
- The services' 41 volunteers have held 16 social, educational, cultural and sporting activities a week, helping 112 residents and training 10 people with learning difficulties as volunteers, boosting their confidence and self-esteem as a result.
Looking ahead
- The My Life Out and About Service has expanded its diary of activities to include 34 indoor and community activities a week and three weekend breaks.
- The Wednesday book club session includes twice-a-month sensory storytelling and a fine motor skills workshop on Mondays to focus on sensory activities for clients with more profound needs.
