31 March 2019
Annual funding:
£15,000
The service…
- Unites to help people change their lives for the better
- Unites to create a safe and secure neighbourhood for everybody
- Unites to support vulnerable neighbours, whoever they may be
By generating investment for local projects, services and initiatives, and securing philanthropic support from businesses, the programme engages residents. Some achieve a sense of belonging through giving money, time, or skills; others through leading groups and organising events; others still via participation. A supplementary school might work with an advice project to help children with schoolwork and support parents with money advice. Or the money advice project might work with local businesses to draw on volunteers. By taking a joined-up approach, initiatives which bring together local groups are supported, and other resources harnessed.
