Build a stronger creative business
Hammersmith & Fulham (H&F) based creative businesses and H&F residents with creative businesses are invited to join our FREE 4-part in person workshop series this June.
- Are you a maker, designer, artist, photographer, illustrator or other creative freelancer or small business owner?
- Feeling stretched, stuck or unsure how to grow your business sustainably?
- Struggling to get sales right now from events or online?
The workshops are designed especially for creative professionals who work for themselves whether full-time or alongside other commitments
The workshops will help you plan more effectively, get to grips with your finances, improve your marketing, grow your online sales and take control of your business with more clarity, confidence and practical tools.
Led by creative business expert Patricia van den Akker, director of The Design Trust, each 3-hour workshop includes hands-on exercises, real-life examples and plenty of time to work on your business.
The workshops are ideal for both early-stage creative businesses and more established creative business owners, incl Etsy sellers, freelancers in design, visual art, crafts (jewellery, ceramics), giftware, homewares, fashion & accessories, illustrators etc who are looking for clarity, focus and growth.
Only H&F-based creative businesses and H&F residents with creative businesses are eligible for these workshops.
Workshop dates
There are 4 workshops to choose from and you can do one or join for the full package:
- Tuesday 3 June 10am to 1pm: Goalsetting, planning & time management. Set realistic goals and priorities for the next 6–12 months, and learn time management strategies that work for creative brains.
- Tuesday 10 June 10am to 1pm: Finance and pricing. Understand your numbers, create a simple forecast, and price your work with more confidence.
- 17 Tuesday 17 June 10am to 1pm: Marketing that works. Build a personalised marketing plan that's strategic, do-able, and gets real results — even if you hate promoting yourself.
- Tuesday 24 June 10am to 1pm: Get more online sales. Improve your website, attract better clients, and convert interest into sales.
