The Rangers form bubble has finally burst at the hands of Hull City - the tigers claiming all three points at Loftus Road on Saturday.
Going into the game, Rs hadn’t lost at home since the end of September; and had managed to propel themselves up what is a very tight Championship table.
Rangers sit a comfortable 11th at the moment, however it is the amount of goals they have shipped this week which is going to concern manager Steve McClaren.
Within a week QPR have conceded seven, which just refreshes any bad early season memories supporters had started to forget.
Having gone behind in this game, Rangers tried their best to grab an equaliser before the half time whistle. If it wasn’t for opposition goalkeeper David Marshall they could have quite easily done so. Perhaps if one of these chances had been converted the full-time result could have been more in their favour.
But in football there are no maybes. The game has happened, Hull have headed back to Humberside with a well-deserved three points, and QPR have ended what has been a fine run of form from Steve McClaren’s men.
They now have to pick themselves up and prepare for another tough away trip, this time to Yorkshire to visit high flyers Leeds United. After that, another threatening home fixture against promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough.
