Junior Hoilett may have worn the QPR shirt for the last time.
Swansea City have come sniffing for the Canadian international as Rangers look to lower their wage bill as Hoilett is on a reported 40-plus thousand pounds a week but the R's board are unable to offer a new contract on those terms.
The pint-sized winger's screamer against Brentford in March was recently voted the Kiyan Prince goal of the season. A strike which brought back memories of belters from the likes of Phillips and Zamora in times past.
It is strange to think that Hoilett is only 25-years-old as it seems like he has been around the game for an age nevertheless Hoilett could be joining Leroy Fer in Wales after a successful loan stint in Wales under Guidolin.
The Dutchman has not hidden his desire to play at the highest level so it it no surprise that Fer does not want to play Championship football next season.
The two clubs must now sit down at the negotiation table over the summer in deals that could earn QPR up to 8 million pounds.
A lump sum that could go some way to filling the coffers and freeing up some funds for Hasselbaink to do some business in the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, the upcoming pre-season does not look as glamorous as last season when the R's ventured to Italy as Watford is the only standout fixture with Aldershot Town and Wycombe Wanderers the only other games to have been confirmed so far for July.
Enjoy the mental respite folks and see you next season.
