As a Climate Alliance partner supporting the H&F Green Innovators programme, The Green Londoner is excited to introduce the five changemakers chosen for this year's cohort.
The programme, delivered with Start-Up Discovery School, gives local entrepreneurs, creatives, and community groups the tools to grow their ideas — from mentoring and workshops to the chance to pitch for £3,000 funding. It's a unique way of connecting grassroots action with the wider green economy of the White City Innovation District.
Over the next few weeks, I'll be following their journey closely and sharing their stories as they turn bold ideas into practical solutions to make Hammersmith & Fulham greener, healthier, and more resilient.
Here are the innovators to watch.
Pinky Miles-Bahula – Malombo Music Association
Pinky is a long-time advocate for health equity and cultural organising, leading Malombo Music Association based on North End Road at the intersection of health, environment, and social justice.
Through Malombo Music Association, the Community-led Green Jobs initiative aims to tackle health inequalities, improve housing conditions, and create pathways into sustainable employment.
Pinky said:
For me, this is about dignity as much as it is about climate. Everyone deserves a healthy home, and at the same time we can give people the skills to build a greener future."

Sean Rodrigo – The Fixatorium
Sean is an innovation consultant and immersive creative specialist who blends art, design, and emerging technology.
From his east London studio, The Fixatorium, he's been leading workshops and community projects for years - including work with St Paul's Girls' School in Hammersmith.
His Green Innovators idea, Petal Planter, reimagines disused red phone boxes as vertical greenhouses with 3D-printed, self-watering planters.
The result: fresh herbs and produce for local food banks, more biodiversity in urban areas, and new life for forgotten landmarks.

Fiona O'Brien – Choose to Reuse
Fiona has spent more than 40 years working in libraries and information services and now shares her lifelong passion for gardening with local schools and after-school clubs.
As one of H&F's Climate Champions, she's deepened her commitment to sustainability. Her idea, Choose to Reuse, takes inspiration from a reuse hub in Australia to create a local space where people can donate, repurpose, and upcycle materials.
Alongside it, she wants to run workshops on repair, growing food, and sustainable living — keeping valuable resources in use while building community. She plans to open the spaces across Old Oak Primary School, Bubble & Squeak, and Urbanwise after-school club.
Fiona said:
It's about making reuse the easy choice — helping people see the value in what we already have, and showing the next generation that sustainability can be practical, social, and fun."

Simon Melbourne – Urban Flyers CIC
Simon co-founded Urban Flyers, a H&F social enterprise that uses tech and creativity to empower young people and promote greener futures.
From drones to e-mobility, his projects are rooted in inclusivity and social impact.
His Bike Taxi Scheme brings that same ethos to local transport: safe, electric pedal-assist trikes offering short trips for older adults and Disabled residents.
The service reduces isolation, encourages active travel, and creates green job opportunities through training local riders.

Ruchika Kalra – Little Jukey
Ruchika has led brand transformations for some of the world's biggest companies, from Red Bull to Reckitt, and co-founded Wings of Angelz, an NGO supporting people with disabilities.
Now, as a parent, she and her husband Vikram are turning their attention to early childhood development and sustainability. Together, they founded Little Jukey, a sustainable toy brand designed for babies and toddlers.
Each kit focuses on key developmental milestones, made with FSC wood, clean cotton, and recycled materials. Families can sell back used kits for cashback, and for every purchase, a tree is planted — proving toys can nurture both children and the planet.

These five innovators reflect the creativity, commitment, and community spirit that makes H&F a global hotspot for climate solutions. I'll be sharing more about their journey through the H&F climate blog.
