Next week is Dementia Action Week and we are partnering with the Hammersmith & Fulham Dementia Action Alliance to hold events across the borough – and you’re invited.

“Dementia Action Week is a great way of highlighting the activities and support here in H&F”, said Cllr Ben Coleman, Deputy Leader of Hammersmith & Fulham Council.

“With the number of H&F residents living with dementia predicted to increase by 42 per cent by 2030, we’re working hard with local residents, families, carers and the NHS to make H&F a dementia-friendly community.”

H&F Council’s Dementia Strategy aims to increase diagnosis rates, offer a range of dementia-specific and inclusive activities, reduce social isolation, and make sure that people get clear and accessible information and support.

To learn more about what’s on offer locally for people living with dementia, and their families and carers, please email Peggy Coles of the Dementia Action Alliance on Peggy@hfdaa.org

You can also support residents living with dementia in H&F by becoming a Dementia Friend – it only takes a minute. Please use the Hammersmith & Fulham code ‘LBH21413’ and postcode ‘W6 8DA’ when registering.
