We are excited to announce that the H&F Education Project Team has been shortlisted for the LGC Awards.

Projects including Mudlarks, the Summer Programme: Recovery of Nature, and the Climate Education Group are intended to inspire children, young people, and their families to be powerful advocates for tackling the climate emergency.

The LGC Award shortlist recognises all the hard work that is happening within the education sector in our Borough. Children and young people are at the heart of our climate strategy, as their future will be most affected by decisions taken today.

A series of climate education projects, guidance and activities, developed with local schools, voluntary organisations, businesses and residents, are inspiring children, young people and their families to tackle the climate crisis. Climate education is a priority in the curriculum and school improvement policy. Our teachers are leading the way, completing the United Nations backed climate accreditation and sharing their learning internationally.
