Support with parenting

Children’s Services and its partners in health, the voluntary sector and schools are training more people to deliver parenting skills training.

In H&F the model that we use is called the Positive Parenting Programme, also known as Triple P.

They also hear from parents needing support, other family members concerned about a child’s welfare and sometimes children themselves.

If you are worried about the wellbeing of a child or young person, call us on 020 8753 6600.

Children in care

Children's rights

The service is for anyone under 21 who gets help from social services.

Our job is to tell children about their rights, make sure they are treated fairly and help them use the complaints service if they need to.

Disabled children

A disability can make it difficult for a child to join in fully in the community and develop independence.

We are there to offer support to families who need extra help to meet their children’s needs. The teams have social workers and support staff, occupational therapists and a transitions worker.

We also work closely with other professionals from health and education to provide an integrated and efficient service.

Special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)

The Local Offer for SEND provides information, services, and activities for 0 to 25-year-olds with special educational needs and disabilities.
