Bringing a van or trailer to the reuse and recycling centre?

If you would like to take household waste from home in anything other than a car (see below), please notify the Western Riverside Waste Authority in advance of your arrival and show proof of identity when you arrive.

There’s further information on the WRWA website.

Cars (without trailers) must be under 2m in height and not have been modified to carry goods (e.g. seats removed, side and/or back windows blacked out). These are fine:

  • cars (saloons, hatch, estate, etc)
  • 4 x 4 passenger vehicles
  • people carriers and minibuses with seats in place
  • motor caravans
  • black cabs.

Note: The waste authority treats Toyota Hilux, Mercedes Vito and Ford Ranger (double cab pick-up) type vehicles as vehicles needing notification in advance.

Trade customers and DIY waste

The reuse and recycling site is only free if you want to get rid of household waste. It does not include DIY waste.

Trade customers and residents with DIY waste have to pay. Please call Cory Environmental Limited on 020 8871 3924 for details of opening times and trade waste charges.

All vehicles are monitored and enforcement action is taken if the number of visits allowed is abused.

For further information about the sites visit Western Riverside Waste Authority website or call the Cleaner Greener Hotline on 020 8753 1100.
