Changes in planning rules to allow pubs and restaurants to operate as hot food takeaways

Planning rules are relaxed from 24 March 2020 so pubs and restaurants can operate as hot food takeaways during the coronavirus outbreak for up to 12-months only. You will need to notify us in writing if you are a businesses who is doing this or plan to. 

Please email providing your details including the name and address of your business.

The business must revert back to its previous lawful use no later than 23 March 2021 or earlier.

The measures will apply to hot food and drinks. Serving of alcoholic drinks will continue to be subject to existing licensing laws.
