Special events for children and young adults

Dancing Books

Encourages everyone to get on their feet and get inspired about reading!

The sessions are designed for children under 4 and their carers taking place directly in Libraries. Dancing Books supports the development of literacy, phonetics and inspires storytelling.

Each session is delivered by an inspiring team of DanceWest teachers. DanceWest offer two sessions a week at each Library. No booking is required we do ask that you arrive in plenty of time and ready to dance!

A £1 voluntary donation is requested by each family per session.

Hammersmith Library

Mondays, 10.30am to 11.15am and 11.30am to 12.15pm

Sessions start on Monday 30 September and run until Monday 9 December.

Fulham Library

Thursdays, 10.30am to 11.15am and 11.30am to 12.15pm

Sessions start on Thursday 3 October and run until Thursday 12 December.

Shepherds Bush Library

Fridays, 10.30am to 11.15am and 11.30am to 12.15pm

Sessions start on Friday 4 October and run until Friday 13 December.

Libraries Week

Come and join Explore Learning during Libraries Week for some fun and interactive workshops.

Fun with Phonics

Come and join Explore Learning for a workshop to motivate children to identify sounds, blend, and segment and begin to write.

Come and join Explore Learning for a workshop to build on and extend some basic grammar and punctuation.

Come and join Explore Learning for a workshop to introduce and practise the concepts of fractions, decimals and percentages. Ideal preparation for SATs.
