Explore Learning will be in the libraries this summer offering free fun English and Maths workshops for children. Please book by emailing libraries@lbhf.gov.uk as places are limited.

A Knight's Journey

This workshop aims to build on and extend some basic grammar and punctuation for children 7 to 9 years old.

Tuesday 27 August, 11.30am to 12.30pm at Askew Road Library.

Maths Wizard

This workshop is for children learning their 2, 5 and 10 times tables. For children 5 to 6 years old.

Monday 19 August, 10.30am to 11.30am at Hammersmith Library.

A Squire's Journey

This workshop introduces and practises basic grammar and punctuation as it is introduced. For children 5 to 6 years.

Thursday 15 August 1pm to 2pm at Shepherds Bush Library.

Telling the Time

The first step is revising how to tell the time. The next step is then practising telling the time.

Tuesday 20 August, 11.30am to 12.30pm at Askew Road Library.

The Linnean Society of London workshops

Fantastic Animal Art Attack workshop

Come along and create a children's book illustration inspired by the animal kingdom. A fun event for children 11 years plus delivered by the Linnean Society.

Summer Reading Challenge

Do you have what it takes to complete the Summer Reading Challenge? Your mission is to finish reading 6 books during the summer holidays. You can read whatever you like for the challenge just as long as they are borrowed from the library. You’ll receive special awards for each book you read. The Summer Reading Challenge is open to children aged 4 to 11.

Join the challenge at your local library! We also have some out of this world activities taking place this summer, find out more at your local library.

Taking part in the challenge helps children improve their reading skills, knowledge and confidence during the holidays.
