Changes to libraries service due to coronavirus

Our libraries are open and operating their normal opening hours. Visit the individual library pages to check the normal opening hours.

All library visitors must wear a face covering unless exempt and provide their details for our test and trace system.

Due to social distancing and government advice, we are operating a reduced library service.

We are currently offering:

  • direct access into libraries for browsing, issue and return of items
  • limited IT access
  • photocopying
  • Amazon lockers
  • collection of recycling bags
  • limited studying slots available at Fulham, Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush libraries.

The following on-site services are still suspended:

  • events and activities
  • newspapers and periodicals.

Home library service

The home library delivery driver will deliver your items to your door wearing personal protective equipment and maintaining social distancing at all times for the safety of our customers and staff.

If you can't get to your local library because of illness, disability, frailty or caring responsibilities and are not already using this service, why not send us an email to the address below to see if you qualify.

Library returns

You can return items at our 4 libraries as normal.
