Home care

Home care can help you with day to day tasks such as washing, dressing, housework or paying bills.

Home care provides support and assistance, enabling you to continue living at home as independently as possible. It can also be for short periods, for example when you have just been in hospital or are recovering from an illness.

The home care service may be able to help you with:

  • personal care, such as washing and getting dressed
  • laundry, housework or shopping
  • collecting your pension or going to pay bills and rent
  • emptying your commode.

The home care service operates every day of the year.

Will I have to pay?

No. We are the only council to have abolished charges for home care.
