Want to make your home more sustainable and energy efficient but not sure where to start? Ecofurb is an advice and installation service and one of our retrofit coordinators, Ian, will be at the Climate Carnival to answer questions. If you want to know more about heat pumps, insulation, solar or other home improvements, you can drop by and ask. This drop in is open to all.

Crafts for Climate Festival

Things we use art workshop

This is a family-friendly event

In the first part of the workshop, we will create sculptures and everyday-life objects with biodegradable materials; while introducing some child-friendly historical and anthropological concepts. The second part of the little journey will focus on games to have fun while learning about recycled materials.


Flying Green: Pilot Unmanned Ariel Vehicles (UAVs)

This event is aimed at 12 to 17 year olds

As part of the Climate Carnival, Urban Flyers will be running Flying Green – an innovative climate change drone tech programme lasting for three days, where local young people aged can learn how to pilot Unmanned Ariel Vehicles (UAVs) to map and survey local green spaces, conservation areas, and littering and pollution using modern software and systems.

Impact of climate change and race inequality

This event will raise awareness of the disproportionate impacts of climate change on Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities and show how this plays out at a local level. We'll cover practical ways people can take steps to address this injustice.
