Poll cards

Parliamentary General Election

Poll cards for the General Election were mainly delivered between 11 May and 14 May although some were sent out later to people who only recently registered to vote.

If you are registered to vote and you are a British, Irish or qualifying Commonwealth citizen, you should have received a white poll card for the General Election.

The poll card is for information only, and you do not need it to vote. As long as you are registered you can simply give the polling station staff your name and address.

Postal voters will be sent a postal poll card confirming details of their postal voting arrangements.

Ward by-elections

Poll cards for the by-elections in the Avonmore & Brook Green and Sands End wards were sent out on 15 May. These poll cards were sent separately because both by-elections were called after we had already made arrangements to send poll cards for the General Election.

If you are registered to vote and you are a British, Irish or qualifying Commonwealth citizen living in the Avonmore & Brook Green or Sands End wards, you should have received a yellow poll card for these elections as well as the white poll card for the General Election.

If you are an EU citizen living in the Avonmore & Brook Green or Sands End wards, you should have received a yellow poll card only.

Once again, the poll card is for information only, and you do not need it to vote. As long as you are registered you can simply give the polling station staff your name and address.

Postal voters will be sent a postal poll card confirming details of their postal voting arrangements.
