MPs and MEPs and GLA Representatives
Hammersmith & Fulham residents are represented on a London-wide level, on a national level and on a European level, by the following elected representatives:
- there are two members of Parliament who represent Hammersmith & Fulham in the House of Commons
- there are eight Members of the European Parliament who look out for the interests of Londoners at the European level
- the Greater London Authority was established in 2000 to represent the interests of Londoners and to direct the future of London, especially transport, policing, planning, culture, environment, health, fire and emergency services, and economic planning issues.
There are two parliamentary constituencies in Hammersmith & Fulham. Each constituency has one MP. The MPs are available at regular advice surgeries.
Since the 1999 European Elections, Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) elected by proportional representation, represent London as a whole and give advice on European matters.
