H&F Community Aid Network (CAN) Freephone: 0800 145 6095
H&F CAN is the volunteer community aid network launched by Hammersmith & Fulham Council to support residents in need during the coronavirus pandemic.
Working with the voluntary and charity sector, and alongside the ward and street-level mutual aid groups, H&F CAN offers support to residents who don’t have friends or family close by to help them. Our taskforce of volunteers will help those most in need at the time of their greatest need.
Do you need urgent support with food, loneliness or isolation?
Or are you worried about a friend, neighbour or relative?
Call: Freephone 0800 145 6095, 8am to 6pm, seven days a week.
Across Hammersmith & Fulham a number of COVID-19 Mutual Aid Groups (MAGs) have been set up by local residents to support residents during the current pandemic. H&F Council is working closely with these groups.
Among the services they offer are:
shopping where resident can afford to pay for shopping
Safeguarding and data protection - We have worked closely with the MAGs to assess the measures they have in place to assign tasks to their local volunteers and track what happens to support requests. Given the nature of support request we will be passing to the MAGs, we are very satisfied with the processes they have in place to ensure appropriate safeguarding and data protection.
Family Support - Talk to the Time to Connect Team Help and advice for families who are finding it hard to cope with being at home, balancing working and childcare or home schooling.
