Summer in the City
Free events for children and young people
The summer holiday is nearly here. And we’ve got plenty of ways to help families fill their days and keep young people entertained.
Our annual Summer in the City programme has hundreds of free or low-cost events and activities for children, young people and families.
The events are being run by a broad range of providers across the borough, with well-known youth activity provider LMP Action helping to coordinate activity.
There will be a huge variety of events and activities including sport, music lessons, arts and crafts, drama, family fun, and exhibitions for 4 to 18-year-olds (up to 25 for those with additional needs).
There are also activities for Disabled people aged 25 and under.
Events start on 26 July and continue throughout the summer. Watch this space for details.
Amy Lalla, co-founder and director of West Kensington-based youth activity provider LMP Action, said: “We’re really looking forward to supporting this year’s Summer in the City. Young people will be able to access a range of exciting activities, with events such as football and basketball in the parks, water sports on the Thames, activities with youth clubs and so much more.
“We will be listing all the events online here and publishing a digital brochure with all the details shortly. In the meantime, we are asking parents/guardians to complete the form below so we can send you the information directly. We hope as many young people as possible join us this summer.”
All activities will include a FREE meal for young people who are attending.
