Reporting businesses open illegally during the coronavirus outbreak

To reduce social contact, the government has ordered many businesses and venues to close for the foreseeable future.

The only businesses that are allowed to remain open are supermarkets and other food shops, pharmacies, petrol stations, bicycle shops, home and hardware shops, laundrettes and dry cleaners, garages, car rentals, pet shops, corner shops, newsagents, post offices and banks.

Businesses such as takeaways must not have seating available for customers either inside or outside.

You can help us to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

If you see a business or venue may be open that shouldn't be, please let us know. We will check all information we receive and if we establish that the business should be closed, we will take action.

How to report

If the business is not in Hammersmith & Fulham please find your local trading standards service and report the issue to your local service.

If the business is in H&F please email us at trading.standards@lbhf.gov.uk

Please tell us:

  • the name of the business or service
  • the address (or where you saw them operating)
  • what they were doing
  • when this happened.

If you are unsure whether the business is trading illegally, please see the government advice, full list of businesses that should be closed.
