Omicron hospitality and leisure grant

On Tuesday 21 December 2021, the Government announced a new grant scheme to support businesses that are experiencing difficulties because of the Omicron variant and the dual impact of staff absences and lower consumer demand.

Sectors within hospitality, leisure and accommodation may be eligible to apply. The value of the grant will be dependent on the ratable value of premises.

  • £2,667 for those with a ratable value of exactly £15,000 or under
  • £4,000 for those with a ratable over £15,000 and less than £51,000

Covid-19 Additional Relief Fund (CARF)

The government announced a new fund on 15 December 2021, the COVID-19 Additional Relief Fund (CARF).

We are currently designing a scheme based on the guidance issued by the government.

This funding will not be available to business ratepayers who for the same period of the relief are or would have been eligible for the Extended Retail Discount, Nursery Discount or the Airport and Ground Operations Support Scheme. In addition to this we are unable to award relief to a business premises for when it is unoccupied (other than those that closed temporarily due to the government's advice on COVID-19).

All eligible business will be required to complete an online application.  As soon as a scheme has been designed and approved, the details will be published on our website.
