Help shape the council’s services and get paid for it

As part of the council’s commitment to work with residents, we are looking for residents to join our digital accessibility group.

The time commitment is minimal, we meet once a month for 2 hours, with opportunities to do more when available.

The main work of the group is to work with council officers to ensure all council services offered online are fully accessible and fit for purpose. Currently the group is working on Digital Inclusion within the borough and we are entering Phase 2 of a 3 Phase programme. This is an ongoing piece of work, which has been running for almost one year now and at this point we are looking to extend the group.

This is not a volunteer position, your lived experience in the borough is valued and the role will pay £20 per hour (please note, you must have the right to work in this country to apply). At this time the meetings are hybrid (in person and online), the intention is to eventually move towards in person meetings, once we feel it’s appropriate.

Do you have a few hours a month to work with us to ensure our services fully accessible?

If so, please contact David Isaac, at David.Isaac@lbhf.gov.uk with a brief description of any related skills and experience and your availability during the day to attend meetings.
