It’s beginning to sound a lot like Christmas in Hammersmith & Fulham.

With December upon us, the borough is buzzing with festive tunes, cosy Christmas concerts and screenings of old and new holiday-favourites.

Gospel choir concert at Livat Hammersmith

When: 22 and 23 December, 5pm to 7.30pm
And: 24 December, 12pm to 2.30pm

The Voice UK star at Kindred Hammersmith

This event has now passed.
Date: Friday 2 December, 6.30pm
Where: Kindred Hammersmith, Queen Caroline Street, W6

Ring in December with FREE live music by the fireplace at Kindred Hammersmith.

Taking the stage on the night will be up-and-coming soul artist Beryl, who was featured on The Voice UK in 2020. No need to register, just drop by.

Jazz choir and ensemble concert

Where: St. Andrew’s Church, Greyhound Road, W14

Providing some sun in the winter months, the Addison Jazz Choir, Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Trio bring you a fine selection of memorable songs from the pens of Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein II to St. Andrew’s Church.

Their all-female Jazz Choir will perform:

  • “All women sing” which consists of 3/4 movements, a new commission by Jill Jarman
  • Johnny one note, by Richard Rodgers
  • If I loved you, by Richard Rodgers.

Their small, auditioned Jazz Ensemble will deliver:

  • All the things you are, Oscar Hammerstein & Jerome Kern
  • It might as well be Spring, Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein
  • My heart stood still, Richard Rodgers
  • My funny Valentine, Richard Rodgers
  • Softly as a morning sunrise, Sigmund Romberg & Oscar Hammerstein
  • The lady is a tramp, Lorenz Hart & Richard Rodgers.

Movies in concert at the Apollo

Hammersmith’s flagship venue for big-name theatre and musicals, Eventim Apollo, is ringing in the holidays with live orchestra screenings of festive film favourites.

Movies shown include The Holiday, La La Land, The Muppet Christmas Carol and Love Actually.

Choral Evensong at St Andrew’s Church

Alternative carols service in W12

Want to kick off the Season with an alternative approach to much loved Carols? Head to Shepherds Bush for a night of poetry, story and familiar songs sung in a different way.

Carol singing at the Nourish Hub

Join year-4 students from the Norland Place Choir at the Nourish Hub for some festive tunes and nibbles.

H&F’s new Nourish Hub is a community kitchen and education hub in White City for local people to come together to cook, eat and learn.

Healthy vegetarian meals, made fresh from rescued ingredients, are served every weekday on a ‘pay-what-you-can’ basis. Details here.


Piano hour at Sands End Arts & Community Centre

The first in a series of FREE Christmas events, join Fulham-based pianist Yu Su and tenor Tyler Clarke for a festive musical afternoon for all the family.

Featuring music by Handel and Purcell, Christmas classics including White Christmas and Let It Snow as well as mince pies and mulled wine.

Carolling in Lyric Square

Local pupils are set to bestow the Christmas cheer on Hammersmith with Christmas carol performances throughout December.

The line-up includes pupils from St Mary’s Catholic Primary School (W14), St Paul’s CE Primary School (W6), Larmenier & Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School (W6), and more.

Christmas Jam Session

A real treat for jazz lovers, this Christmas edition of the POSK’s Jam Session series at POSK is an excellent opportunity to mingle with real staples in the London jazz community.

Musicians, listeners and jazz lovers are kindly invited. Tickets start at £10 and can be booked via Eventbrite.

The stage will be made available to instrumentalist and vocalist who would like to jam and perform jazz standards together with other musicians in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere.

Chamber music in Sands End

Join the Paddington Trio for an evening of electrifying chamber music including trios by Haydn, Rebecca Clarke and Beethoven’s scintillation “Ghost” Trio.

The concert will finish with a festive finale of Christmas carols, and they’ll be plenty of mulled wine and mince pies to go around, too.

Charity concert to help end food poverty

A candlelight charity Christmas concert will bring carols and folk songs to Holy Cross Church in Parsons Green.

Fulham Camerata choral group will sing composer Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols, alongside a series of popular festive carols.

The FREE event is being held in aid of London charity the Felix Project, which help redistribute surplus food from more than 500 suppliers to charities, schools and holiday programmes.

Santa Lucia choir parade at Livat

Residents are invited to celebrate the Swedish festive tradition of Santa Lucia, with a traditional choir parade, a glass of Glogg – a Swedish fruity festive punch – and a selection of tasty Swedish treats.

Bush Hall Christmas party

Come down to Shepherds Bush for a twinkling Christmas singalong, drinks and dancing. Dress code: sparkling!

DJ Martin Green will get you dancing to his classic retro soundscape. DJ La-Z-Boy, aka Idler editor Tom Hodgkinson will play Motown and more.

The Christmas singalong will be led by Tom and the Idler retreat band, Sara and the Loafers.

Addison Singers Christmas carol concert

The Addison Singers’ Chamber Choir is set to perform at the annual carol service and Christmas concert at St Saviour Wendell Park Church.

This will be a free, non-ticketed event so please do come along, and invite your friends and neighbours as well. There will be complimentary mulled wine and mince pies, and a collection in aid of The Upper Room.

Parish Christmas Carol Concert in Brook Green

Carols by Candlelight at St Mary’s

A Christmas staple at St Mary’s, residents are invited to come along for traditional carols, sung by candlelight, followed by mulled wine and mince pies.

Join in the carol singing and enjoy special performance pieces to celebrate the Christmas story.

Big End of Year Bash at the Empire

Get ready for The Horne Section’s one and only Big End of Year Bash, coming to O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on 20 December.

Not only are they ‘Britain's Funniest Band’ (according to the Guardian), they also have their own Channel 4 TV show, an iTunes-chart-topping podcast and have celebrated many years of sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and London’s West End.

There’ll be comedy, songs, enthusiastic dancing and a lot of “mucking about”.
