The NHS Covid mass vaccination centre at the Novotel London West in Hammersmith finished its run on Wednesday, after administering a total of 113,608 jabs including outreach services.

The final person to be vaccinated at the centre was 30 year old Hammersmith resident Shayankar Ratnasingam, who received his second jab on Wednesday evening.

“I am the last of over 100,000 people being vaccinated by here and it is quite impressive to see how many people have been processed through this centre,” said Shayankar. “It's amazing.”

The centre was opened on 15 March, and run by Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in partnership with Hammersmith & Fulham Council. It offered both walk-in vaccinations and appointments.

Staff at the centre were sad to be moving on, but were proud of all the work they’d done over the last six months.

“We've got a fabulous team here,” said vaccinator Kelly Brown. “Everyone's worked so well together. Lots of people from all sorts of different backgrounds have come together to support the National Health Service, and the vaccination campaign.”

Following the centre’s closure, you can now get Covid vaccinations at pharmacies across H&F.

Find out which pharmacies near you are offering vaccination here. It’s quick and easy – you can do it while picking up a prescription or other items.

If you’re unsure about getting a vaccine, you can ask your local pharmacist or GP for their advice and discuss your medical history.
