Arlo Parks – the Hammersmith-born singer, songwriter and poet – is on top of west London’s musical world.

The talented 20-year-old artist has just seen her new album, Collapsed in Sunbeams, nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize. And on Tuesday 9 September, the judges at Hammersmith’s Eventim Apollo will have decided if she’s worthy enough for one of the top awards in British musical landscape.

Regardless of the outcome, she’s guaranteed a glorious homecoming after selling out back-to-back nights at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on 3 and 4 November.

Times, tickets and details are available on the Arlo Parks event page of the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire website.

Another west London popstar set for the Empire stage is Ed Sheeran. He will be performing in front of just 2,000 people in his first headline show since 2019.

Sheeran said: “When I first set out in music, one of my main goals was to one day headline the Shepherds Bush Empire and my first gig there is still one of my favourite shows that I’ve played.”

It’s been ten years since Ed’s last visited the Empire. He has been taking a break from music after he and his wife, Cherry Seaborn, welcomed the arrival of their daughter Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran last summer.

Times, tickets and details are avialble on the Ed Sheeran event page of the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire website.
