Over 90 per cent of households in H&F have completed this year’s census. This is a good improvement on the 87 per cent return rate in the borough at the time of the last census in 2011.

We expect the initial results from the survey to emerge early next year, with all data available within 24 months.

H&F Cabinet Member Cllr Adam Connell said: "It is great news that so many people in H&F have responded to the census. It means that thanks to residents, we will have an even more accurate understanding of our local population which will enable us to allocate resources, including grants to community groups, more effectively – especially to those in greatest need.

"It will also give us the data to support our case for better central government funding for frontline services after more than ten years of austerity. So thank you to everyone for completing the survey and to the many residents who helped others to participate."

Although Census Day - Sunday 21 March 2021 - has passed, and the online survey has closed, you can still participate by requesting a paper version by contacting the Office for National Statistics.
