Help us end violence against women and girls
Hammersmith & Fulham Council wants to hear from local residents about how we can help end violence against women and girls.
Domestic abuse affects one in four women at some point in their lives. One in five women have been subjected to stalking or harassment and one five women have been subjected to sexual assault at some point in their lives in England and Wales.
“We believe that ending violence against women and girls is everyone’s business and we’re seeking your views to help us,” said Cllr Sue Fennimore, Deputy Leader of H&F Council.
The survey should take no more than five minutes. Complete it here:
Here are a range of violent and abusive acts and behaviours that disproportionately affect women and girls:
- domestic abuse (including coercive control)
- rape and sexual violence
- female genital mutilation
- forced marriage
- crimes in the name of 'honour'
- sexual harassment
- prostitution/sexual exploitation.
You do not need have to have experienced violence or abuse to take part in our survey.
However, if you need support or are worried about someone experiencing violence, please call 999 in an emergency. The Angelou Partnership can also offer advice and support. For more details, visit the Angelou website.
