We have put together a guide on some of the fun (and Covid safe) activities on offer for all young people in H&F this Easter holiday.

The fun-filled activities will run until Friday 16 April both online and at different venues across the borough.

Youth Clubs

Youth clubs in H&F will be providing activities. Please visit their websites for more information:

All facilities will be specially cleaned ahead of the holiday clubs and activities will be designed to maintain social distancing to protect the young people and staff.

Community partner Let Me Play are supporting H&F Council with delivery of activities during this holiday period.

Headteachers are contacting those parents whose children are eligible for places. Please contact your local school if you need to be referred.

Free sports camp in South Park

London Sports Trust will be running the sports camp for local young people aged 8 to 16 years old on:

  • Wednesday 7 April to Friday 9 April (11am to 2pm)
  • Wednesday 11 April to Friday 16 April (11am to 2pm)

The club will be running free sessions in South Park on:

  • Tuesday 6 April – 2pm-3pm (5-8 year olds)

Action On Disability

The charity will be delivering a range of activities including dance, yoga, cooking, sports, art, drama and football for young Disabled people aged 11 to 25 years old.

The service is free for young people who live or access education in Hammersmith & Fulham. Due to the pandemic, places are provided by invite only to those most in need.

Activities will run on 6, 8, 12 and 14 April from 1.30pm to 2.30pm. Email Tamara Stuiver at tamara.stuiver@aod.org.uk for more information.

Family Learning

The Family Learning Team will be running some free online taster sessions over the Easter holiday. This will include family yoga and multi craft sessions.

Fulham FC Foundation

All girls are welcome to attend the morning and afternoon sessions on Friday 9 April and Friday 16 April at Bishops Park, Fulham. From £16 per session.

Hammersmith Community Garden Association

HCGA are running a number of sessions but they are only open to group bookings or via London Sports Trust at the farm on Fridays. The farm will be open for family visits on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings after Easter through to the end of term.

Let Me Play are running a free camp for children in need and key worker children aged 8 to14 years old at Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith from Tuesday 6 April to Friday 9 April and Monday 12 April to Friday 16 April.

Family Support Service

You can get support over the holidays from the Hammersmith & Fulham family support service. It includes:

A ‘Time to Connect’ helpline

The new helpline, staffed by the Time to Connect team, provides a listening ear if you are concerned about anything or need help accessing or being signposted to their services.

Home learning guides

The unit have put together home learning guides and references for early years, primary school and secondary school children.

Virtual sessions on Facebook

The new virtual family centre is here and the virtual timetable can be found here. You can still access all the support usually provided at the children’s centres through their new virtual Facebook sessions.

Families can drop in for advice, take part in a session or request a call from their Time to Connect team.

If you need early years support – such as a nursery or childminder over the Easter holidays – the family support service team can also help if you qualify.

Atmospheric Explorers – Family Air Quality Science Sessions over Easter with Imperial’s Invention Rooms

It’s not too late to book places on the upcoming half-term activities. This Easter holiday you can meet Imperial’s researchers who are working on new discoveries all about air. Over two weeks, you can see how cars cut through air, learn how to capture carbon, and take part in our super quiz about the world’s air, atmosphere and oceans.

Sessions will take place online via Zoom and are free for families in the North of H&F. Each online session will last around 45 minutes.

Storytelling: The Elephant and the Bee

Why are elephants afraid of bees? Why do bees sting? And should we be afraid of them?

Come and join professional storyteller Helen for a fun, educational folktale from Thailand exploring these questions. Bees are vital for life and it's important that we do all we can to support them - even if we live in a city. We're sure you'll come away buzzing with bee facts and perhaps even dancing like one!

After the session we will send you an activity to help you make your own environment a little greener.

Car exhaust is a source of pollution that we are probably familiar with, but could it be that every time we hit the brakes, we are contributing to air pollution?

Join researcher Liza, as we look down the microscope at some of the cutting-edge research into this tiny potential pollutant. Learn about our research into brake dust, design the car of the future and complete our super urban air quiz.

After the session we will send out an activity for you to design a vehicle of the future!
