Fun-filled half term events will help kids beat holiday boredom

Are you looking for ideas to keep the kids entertained during half term? We’ve got plenty of free or low-cost ideas to help you out.

From amazing molecular science to yoga, there’s bound to be something for them to enjoy.

These activities – sponsored by Hammersmith & Fulham Council – start on Monday 26 October and run until Friday 30 October at different venues across the borough.

Parents and carers - please visit the individual websites for the events to confirm if there is availability. This is due to the new Tier 2 COVID-19 restrictions. We want to make sure everyone is entertained – and safe.

What’s on? 

Among the fun, sports fans can look forward to football tournaments at the Bunswick Club and Chelsea Soccer Schools or Fulham Soccer Schools.

London Sports Trust are holding two summer camps over the half term for 8-year-olds and upwards which will offer a range of free sports activities for your children to get involved with. 

If they prefer the performing arts, activities include acting classes at The Lyric Theatre or contact White City Youth Theatre for drama workshops.

Lyric Theatre also have an open call out for young people aged 18 to 25 to be part of their community show in summer 2021.

Action on Disability are providing fun and engaging activities for young Disabled people ages 11-25 at at Normand Croft Community School. Activities will include yoga, dance, music and sports. For more information please email admin.youth@aod.org.uk

Join other budding scientists online for amazing molecular science sessions from Imperial College Invention Rooms.

Hammersmith Community Garden Association and Urban Wise will be offering Go Wild! and healthy living nature crafts and environmental games sessions at Phoenix Farm and at Ravenscourt greenhouses. Booking is essential, email moya@urbanwise.london or cathy@hcga.org.uk
