Business parking permits for key workers in H&F
The parking for key workers scheme has closed and the permits previously issued are no longer valid.

Due to the easing of lockdown restrictions and the new cycle lanes for commuters that we’ve installed in H&F, we regret that this scheme will close on 31 July.
No new permits are being issued.
Parking spaces remain very limited in H&F and are also relied upon by residents and non-priority visitors.
If you’re a member of the Met Police team in Shepherds Bush, parking may be available at Shepherds Bush Police Station. Or if you work from the Empress State Building in Fulham, you may be able to park at Earls Court 2. Please speak to your line manager.

Hammersmith & Fulham Council has stepped in to ensure heroic frontline staff fighting the coronavirus outbreak will always have somewhere to park.
The council has worked tirelessly to find ways to ensure NHS, police and other key workers won’t have to pay to park for the duration of the outbreak.
All the council’s key workers have been added to the corporate RingGo parking account and partnerships have been struck with local businesses to use their car parks – most recently, teaming up with Westfield London in Shepherds Bush.
The council has also provided parking permits for NHS Trust staff to help them park for free in on-street parking bays and other public car parks in the borough by registering their car with RingGo. To receive a permit, please speak with your host hospital (Charing Cross or Hammersmith).
Parking facilities on council-owned housing land are also being explored as another potential source of parking spaces.
All on-street parking in the borough is free to key workers who work in Hammersmith & Fulham providing essential services and care to our residents during the outbreak.
This includes emergency services (police, ambulance and fire brigade), NHS staff and volunteers helping with the COVID-19 crisis who do not currently possess a valid H&F parking permit.
Supporting those on the frontline
“It is absolutely critical that we pull out all the stops to help those on the frontline of the battle against coronavirus,” said Cllr Wesley Harcourt, H&F Cabinet Member for Environment.
“During this unprecedented time, it’s imperative that we do what we can to keep our streets clear for emergency services and ensure that there is adequate parking for those whose jobs are critical in helping keep our borough functioning and safe.
“We’re hugely grateful Westfield London and the other businesses who have stepped up to offer parking spaces – a move that will prove vital for many key workers during this difficult and stressful time.”
How do I park at Westfield London?
To park in the Westfield London car park, you just need to follow these simple steps:
First, send an email to help@urw.com from either an NHS email address or, from another domain name with a scanned copy of an NHS ID card attached, with the following information:
- your name
- your car’s registration plate
- which Westfield centre you need: White City.
H&F Council and Westfield London hope this small gesture will help relieve local parking pressure and offer practical support to staff across local hospitals.
How do I get in?
Parking is in Car Park A, which you can get to via the West Cross Route, A3220. For Sat Nav directions, simply enter: W12 7SL. When you drive up to the barriers, the cameras will recognise your registration plate and the barriers will raise. Please park in any space except those marked for blue badge holders and parent and child bays, and keep your ID on you when using the car park.

“None of us can imagine how hard their current working day or night is, and providing parking is the very least we can do. We commend the amazing work they are doing for our community at this time.”
Helping the council’s key workers
All H&F key workers who are employees of the council have been or will be added to the council’s corporate account with RingGo – its parking provider. This allows critical workers to park in on-street parking bays for free.
Business community steps up to help
The council has worked closely with the business community to secure parking opportunities throughout the borough for frontline workers. It has negotiated with the W12 shopping centre in Shepherds Bush to extend its offer of free parking for NHS staff so that it includes other key workers.
The council has also worked with the management teams of the Fulham Broadway shopping centre and Kings Mall shopping centre in Hammersmith who have also both offered to help by opening up parking spaces to NHS staff and key workers.

Who qualifies as a key worker?
Key workers include emergency services (police, ambulance and fire brigade), NHS staff and volunteers helping with the COVID-19 crisis. You can find a full list of key workers on the GOV.UK website.
I am a key worker, how can I access or apply for free parking in the borough?
We regret that the free parking scheme is now closed to new applicants.
However, NHS workers who require a parking permit can apply via the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) by emailing nwlcovid.parking@nhs.net

I am a key worker and am registered for the free parking, where can I park?
You should have already been advised of specific parking sites that you can access. If you have been given access to street parking, you can park in any shared use bay across Hammersmith & Fulham where permit holder and pay-by-phone and pay and display parking is permitted. You can't park in areas which are reserved for exclusive use such as loading only, pay and display only, disabled, doctor, diplomat, car club only. Please refer to signs at location to understand conditions of use.
