If you fancy mixing fresh air, food and a trip to the movies, head to the parks of Hammersmith & Fulham.
Pop-up cinemas are appearing in Bishops Park, Ravenscourt Park, and South Park in the coming weeks.
September’s open-air flicks showings start at Bishops Park, alongside Fulham’s Craven Cottage stadium, on Friday 6, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 with, respectively: Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (PG), Bohemian Rhapsody (12A) and 10 Things I Hate About You (15).
Each show begins at 8pm, with doors open from 6.30pm, and Sicilian street food (including artisan pizzas) is on sale. There’s also a full bar… or you can bring your own picnic and drink.
At Ravenscourt Park, the shows are at 7.30pm (doors open 6pm) on the lawn nearest the Ravenscourt Avenue entrance on Friday 13 (A Star is Born, 15), Saturday 14 (The Greatest Showman, PG) and Sunday 15 (Pretty Woman, 15). Prairie Fire barbecue food will be on sale each evening.
Then on Friday 27, the action switches to Parsons Green with a 7pm showing of Incredibles 2 (U) at South Park on the lawn by the Clancarty Road entrance, followed by Back To The Future (PG) on Saturday 28 and The Little Mermaid (U) on Sunday 29. Big Dogs will be selling hotdogs.
Standard tickets: £13.75 standard, £8.80 U12s, £6.87 disabled + carer, £22 VIP (with drink and chair).
You’re advised to bring warm clothes, as the temperature will fall away quickly, and bring something to sit on, unless you’ve booked a chair. If the weather looks iffy, texts update cinemagoers with up-to-date information.
