We want you to play a part.

We’re asking residents to help us:

  • develop a new vision for our parks, green and open spaces – including how to protect them for future generations
  • find the best way to involve local people in the decisions made about our parks and encourage more residents to enjoy them
  • say what currently works, what could be better, and what doesn’t work in the way our parks and open spaces are managed.

Tim Prager, a Fulham resident and chair of the new commission, said: “This is an enormous opportunity for residents to get involved in finding ways to sustain, improve and protect for the future, the array of parks and open spaces that improve the quality of our lives in H&F.”

Can you help?

If you are a resident of Hammersmith & Fulham with a keen interest in our parks and open spaces, you could be considered for a seat on the new commission.

“Working closely with residents will help us keep our parks and green spaces in superb condition,” said Cllr Wesley Harcourt, H&F Cabinet Member for the Environment.

Launch

We’re aiming to launch the commission in September. And the commission is expected to complete its work and publish its findings and recommendations for action by winter 2020.

The time commitment for commissioners is expected to be two hourly meetings every month in Hammersmith or other venues around the borough for a period of 10 to 12 months.

Please email esma.dukali@lbhf.gov.uk by Sunday 11 August and set out some details about your skills and experience that demonstrate why you would like to be on the commission.
