Ever wondered about the best way to keep your home warm in winter? Or perhaps you need help with switching energy providers?
If that sounds like you, there’s a great new service in H&F that is sure to be of interest. Best of all, it’s free.
Through the ‘Green Doctor’ scheme, experts will visit your home and offer tips and impartial advice to help you and your home stay warm and healthy.
“This great new service is bound to be welcomed residents who may need help switching to a cheaper energy provider, or simply want help with how to use their heating most efficiently,” said Cllr Sue Fennimore, Deputy Leader of H&F Council.
Hammersmith & Fulham Council has teamed up with Groundwork London to deliver the scheme which can not only help save money on bills, but can help residents stay safe from the health risks associated with a cold home.
Green Doctor visits help residents by providing guidance and tips on how to use your energy at home most efficiently, by better understanding heating systems and through installing small, energy-saving measures.
You’re eligible for a Green Doctor visit if you are:
- over 65
- have a long term health condition or disability
- on a low income.
During the visit, the Green Doctors – who are fully qualified and able to offer unbiased advice on energy – will explain all the basics about how to make your home more energy efficient.
They can offer impartial advice on how to switch fuel companies to save money and give advice on income support and debt. They can also put residents in touch with other services that may be able to help you.
To find out more, or to book your free visit, call 0300 365 5003 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alternatively, you can complete Groundwork's online referral form.
