A-level students were celebrating across H&F today after receiving another impressive set of results.

Pupils have done even better than last year – particularly when it comes to the top grades. Twenty-eight per cent of grades in the borough were marked A* or A, compared to 27 per cent last year and a national average this year of 26 per cent.

The borough’s overall pass rate has also climbed, from 95 last year, to 97 per cent this year.

“Congratulations to everyone – students and teachers – who I know have really worked hard over the past couple of years to achieve these impressive results,” said Cllr Larry Culhane, H&F Cabinet Member for Children and Education.

“We’re so lucky to have such amazing schools in our borough which do so much to support children and families. They don’t just give students a great academic education but inspire young people in so many other ways to set them up for fantastic futures.”
