Hammersmith & Fulham Council has set up the H&F Hive on crowdfunding platform, Spacehive, to give community groups a new way to raise money for their ideas.
Many local businesses have been getting in on the act, making pledges or offering support in kind to some great local schemes.
For example, Howdens Joinery and Freshco Supermarket supported the Sands End Associated Projects in Action (SEAPIA) to raise money to install a new community kitchen at the Sands End Adventure Playground.
While Megan’s restaurant in Parson’s Green donated £4,600 from the sale of still and sparkling water to the Living Space project at St Dionis church, which helped raise funds to create new community facilities.
A strong sense of community is one of the best things about living and working in the borough – so why not add your name to the crowd and help support great local projects?
Pledging money, offering constructions skills or discounted equipment, or helping with social media campaigning are all great ways you can add your support.
